Alex Mayers commentary:

Angel Kelly and the initial founding members of The Pink Ladies (Jeanne Fine, Nina Hartley & Porsche Lynn )

It’s very important to note that it was a BLACK WOMAN KNOWN AS ANGEL KELLY who started the FIRST support group for pornstars (The Pink Ladies). If it were not for Angel Kelly’s efforts and persistence (in regards to encouraging her peers to respect and protect themselves) the adult (pornography) industry of today may not have EVER implemented mandatory STD & HIV testing.

The video above features clips of adult actress (pornstar) Angel Kelly on BET around 1989 discussing racism in the pornography industry, adult entertainment industry history, her never having been properly acknowledged, her not being properly financially compensated & her feeling exploited…

Ironically, though I entered the industry decades after Angel Kelly did – I can relate. Not much has changed in 30 years.

As a side note… Isn’t it odd that Brazzer’s contract performer Xander Corvus (who has been ashamed of being Black HIS ENTIRE LIFE & who PASSES as white) SUDDENLY wants to speak for Black women in the porn industry? Well, it’s not as odd as you may think…

The reality is that Xander Corvus aka Mychael Burns is an attempt by individuals within the pornography industry (who embody white supremacist ideals) to overwrite (or erase) Angel Kelly’s efforts & diminish the importance of HIV prevention (due to a large group of Caucasians/Whites currently active in the porn industry talent pool being HIV positive – John Stagliano is not the only one) .
